N&EMPF 2018 Interclub PDI Knockout Competition

The 2018 PDI Interclub Knockout Competition was held on Sunday 11th March at Arnold Leisure Centre.

The format of the competition was that each competing club provided a "Bank" of 40 images. The first round consisted of a preloaded set of 16 images taken from the "Bank". The images were shown sequentially, one from each club in an order drawn in advance. Each image was scored 2 to 5 by three judges giving a minimum score of 6 and a maximum of 15. At the end of the first round the highest scoring eight clubs, plus any club scoring the same as the eighth club went forward to the final round. Unfortunately DCPC were one point short of going forward to the final round.

In the final round the competing clubs submitted 20 images from their nominated "Bank". A maximum of 10 could be drawn from the first round and a minimum of 10 must have been previously unseen. At the end of the final round Rolls-Royce Photographic Society were the highest scoring club and were awarded the trophy to hold for one year.

The judges were:

Duncan Hill MPAGB EFIAP/g
Martin Litchfield CPAGB

Rolls-Royce Photographic Society who were also last years winner, together with the next two highest scoring clubs which were Nottingham & Notts.
